DGCP Principle #02 — Observation Before Interpretation
Date: 2026-03-28 (Asia/Bangkok)
Project: MaMeeFarm™ Global System Observation
Framework: DGCP™ — Data Governance & Continuous Proof
Mode: Observation only • Principle definition • No prediction • No advice
Scope Note: Foundational principle defining the separation between observation and interpretation in DGCP systems.
Principle Statement
Observation precedes interpretation.
In DGCP™, events are recorded based on observable conditions, without explanation, judgment, or assumption.
System Context
In many systems, interpretation occurs simultaneously with observation. Meaning, cause, and conclusion are assigned at the moment of perception.
This merges observation and interpretation into a single layer, reducing traceability and increasing bias within the record.
DGCP™ separates these layers. Observation is maintained as an independent record, free from analytical or narrative influence.
Observed Pattern
When observation is isolated:
- Data remains neutral and verifiable
- Multiple interpretations can be applied
- Bias is delayed and controlled
When observation is combined with interpretation:
- Bias is introduced at the record level
- Alternative interpretations are reduced
- Verification becomes constrained
Structural Implication
DGCP™ defines separation between layers:
- Observation Layer: Recorded events, measurements, and states
- Interpretation Layer: Analytical explanation applied after recording
Interpretation does not modify or merge into the observation layer.
Observation remains the primary reference for all subsequent analysis.
Conclusion
Interpretation without observation introduces assumption.
Observation without interpretation preserves record integrity.
DGCP™ establishes observation as the foundational layer of all knowledge systems.
